can't add videos from iPhoto into iMovie browser

Hello all, I have iMovie 08 and iPhoto 08. Here's my problem. Whenever I add a video from my cellphone into iPhoto, and then open iMovie, I can't see the recently added videos.

Since they're .3gp I can't really drag them into iMovie 08, but don't tell me I can't use them- All of the .3gp videos I had in iPhoto 06 are viewable in iMovie 08, just none of the videos that I'd added since upgrading. Anyone know what's going on here?
