Yesterday I upgraded to 8 GB of RAM in the MBP in my signature (great decision, btw). Shortly after I started watching a YouTube video and it seemed like it wasn't as loud as it should be. I thought maybe I damaged a speaker when I had the bottom off but I didn't think that was an issue.

Today decided to do some troubleshooting and it seems like my volume is either on or off. Regardless of where the volume slider is, it's the same volume, unless it's all the way turned down.

I've done some searching and this issue has not come up. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try?

I did unplug the battery while I was swapping the RAM out and when I turned it back on I had very little battery left and I had to reset my time/date. Maybe the PRAM or SMC needs resetting?
