Can’t airplay from QuickTime on Mojave

hi all

I’m trying to public beta of Mojave. I frequently watch videos using QuickTime which I airplay over to my Apple TV.

When I click the airplay button in QuickTime, nothing happens. I can, however, airplay the entire screen, but I don’t want to do this as it means the laptop can’t be used at the same time as watching the video.

Does anyone know how I might fix this in Mojave?
