Hello,

The last few days my macbook pro has been having problems booting up. I get a grey screen with a flashing folder and question mark. After a quick google search i found out that this means there is a hard drive problem. When i booted from the OSX disk went into disk utility it did not see my internal HDD.

I decided to put in my old HDD and try to boot from it. Again just the flashing folder icon with question mark. I figured my chances of both HDD's going on me was pretty slim so i stuck one into an external enclosure. It booted up fine externally.

So now i'm asking you guys, what would you do? Its clearly not an HDD issue. I'm thinking that maybe its just the cable running from the MB to the HDD but i fear i might be worse. The machine is still under warranty but i don't want to send it off unless i have to. I'm a student at Uni, and being without a computer is going to hurt.

Thanks
