I'm trying to boot from my original Leopard install disk (so that I can do a block-by-block clone of my internal drive prior to Snow Leopard install). This is on a unibody MBP 17 inch.
Despite choosing the DVD as my startup disk by holding down option, or by selecting it after holding down C and exiting the install program, it keeps taking me into the installation program again and does not let me do a straightforward boot.
Does anyone know how to simply boot into the OS on the install DVD?
