Can't boot from USB

So I used Bootcamp to install windows on my mac.
I am trying to boot from my USB drive but I'm not sure which "F" key it would be when windows is loading.

Any ideas?
Or possibly how can I boot from my USB on my iMac period?
Holding the alt/option button doesn't show my USB

Well I currently have rEFIt, and when I try to boot from the linux disk it says no disk.

I am basically wanting to be able to boot either OS X or Linux
 
Ahh I remember the perils of Linux on a Mac. There was a period of time that I ran an '07 MacBook on Linux. It was a fun little weekend project.

Well what advice do you have?
I have Linux on a CD but it won't boot with "C" from the refit menu?
