installed 10.11 a few days ago and worked great on mac pro 1.1. I am getting a panic warning when I tried to boot in this morning.

Can anyone help ?

We need to see the full first line of the panic report.

In the meantime, try disconnecting all external peripherals and then try rebooting while holding down the shift key and see if it will safe boot.

Thanks for he reply. The first line of the panic report reads

unable to find driver for this platform :\"rcpi\"N"@/Library/caches/com.apple.xbs/sources/xnu/xnu-3248.20.55/iokit/kernel/ioplatformexpert.cpp:1665

below it also reads "mac os version not yet set..."

Thanks again

thanks for your help... decided to back to mavericks for now. :)

mavericks "feels" better for me anyway...
