Hello,

I'm using a 17" Macbook Pro, with both OSX and Windows running on it.

Recently I am having trouble booting into OSX. it just seems stuck at the grey screen with the apple logo and the circular loading icon.

This only started occuring after I was working in my Windows 7 bootcamp parition and got BSOD. Ironically I can still boot into my bootcamp parition fine however.

I tried using the disk utility to repair the OSX drive, and found no problems. Still stuck at the grey screen when I try to boot into OSX however.

I am thinking about just reinstalling OSX, as I have everything I need backed up anyway.

you might have done this but did you check boot option in System Prefs?
sometimes you have to make sure its selecting a specific option.
I had this problem with my bootcamp set-up.

So I tried to reinstall OSX over my old installation, around halfway through I got an error message saying OSX couldn't be installed. Am going to try again, but pretty worrying :(
