I am running a Mac Pro 1,1 with 10.7.5 (Soon to be El Capitan).
I use Toast 11.0.4 to burn CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays.
I can burn CDs, DVDs and single layer Blu-rays flawlessy. In fact, my drive has never had a coaster with any of these.
I have the LG WH16NS40MP Blu-ray burner installed as a second optical drive. The original optical drive is still there and still connected as well.
Every attempt to burn a BD-DL results in a sector verification error. I have yet to have one be successful. This is whether I am trying to burn a data disc, a Blu-ray movie or an .iso file using disk utility. Doesn't matter what speed or program I use to burn it with.
The drive supports these discs. I use Verbatim media.
While I do not have the latest firmware on the drive, the two updates that LG has posted don't address the issue I am having anyhow.
Any idea what could be causing this or, more importantly, how to fix it? Please and thank you.
