Can't change my desktop wallpaper

Everytime I try to change it and click on the folders to pick an album to find a photo, it suddenly turns off and goes to that pop up message showed above.

Have you tried trashing "com.apple.systempreferences.plist"?
It should be in Users -> "yourname" -> Library -> Preferences.

Do you use iPhoto? It could be a problem with the iPhoto Library, although I'm not sure how you'd fix it. Desktop & Screensaver accesses iPhoto to hunt for pictures, as you probably know.

I did trash it Dave H, and restarted my computer and unfortunately it keeps doing the same thing. But thank you for your input.


Marcbook (heh clever): Yes I do use iPhoto, maybe I should get rid of it? Thanks for your help as well.
