Can't change my display pic in adium!

I have a horrible pic for my display pic in adium. I can change it in mac:messenger, but it reverts when I go to adium.

I go to adium->preferences->personal, and choose the icon I want. My icon does not change whatever, even if I choose 'no icon'. What can I do? I repaired permissions.

I just reinstalled adium (latest beta) to no avail. Please! My pic is fugly!

No problem - I appzapped it then reinstalled. Worked!

You may reinstall anything you like. But as long as you don't delete its preferences that come with the application (something that appzapper does) it is very likely to have the same problem with every new version of the program you are running.
