Can't change partition scheme in recovery

Hello, forum

I'm running El Capitan beta on my late-2013 15" rMBP. I have to format it and install Yosemite on it since I'm giving it to someone. However, in the disk utility inside the Yosemite installer (booting via USB), I'm unable to modify the partition scheme of the SSD. How do I go about deleting the current two partitions and creating a single new partition?

EDIT: Never mind. Resolved by going to the OS X partition and erasing it.
