I did a fresh install of OS Monterey on the Imac and since then the Imac can connect to the MBA but the MBA can't connect to the Imac. I tweaked numerous settings on both computers, reinstalled OS Monterey on the MBA. As you can see from the screenshot, the MBA can see the Imac - it just won't connect. I've looked at the file-sharing settings, finder settings, etc... I'm confused. Any suggestions???

If you want to share files between the two computers then be sure to share both computers with the same login ID

I'm not quite sure I'm following you... When I click on the "Connect As" option... there's an option for using the same AppleID but that doesn't even work. When I look at the Imac's connection... I'm connected via my AppleID.

what did you do to fix it?
When I was on the MBA and went to connect, I had to type in the user name and password of the Imac. That allowed me to connect them in both directions. I don't know why my AppleID didn't work since it's the same ID, but the user name and password did it.
