Okay. So my mac works everywhere else for the internet. But out in the boonies where my fiance lives, they have some weird internet VPN deal. You can't just connect to the internet by typing in the username/password for the wireless network.
For example: His computer automatically connects to "linksys" when it's turned on. BUT, to even get on the internet you have to click a little bar in the lower right hand corner of his screen then a little window pops up above and it says:
VPN & Dialup: Venture Rush "Connect"
Wireless Network Connection: linksys "connected"
To use the internet you have to click "connect" next to "Venture Rush".
My macbook can find and recognize the wireless network "linksys" but i cannot figure out how to make it find Venture Rush. I've even tried to go into it and manually set it up. But i'm obviously doing it wrong. I NEED to figure this out or i'm going to go freaking crazy. I do business on my mac and i cant keep transferring files over to his computer because he takes it with him to the office.
Thank you so much in advance! I'm not even joking. I will be so happy if someone figures this out.
