Can't connect to port 25

I checked http://port25.icannotconnect.com and it says that port 25 is blocked, I'm no longer able to connect to mail server, I contacted my ISP and they said that it's some new policy. Is there any way to resolve this locally by say using another port?

I had the same issue. I use another mail provider and at times I am on another ISP that blocks port 25. My mail provider allows me to communicate through port 587. You may want to give that a try and confirm with your mail provider if you can communicate to their server through port 587.
