Hi,

I have an intel mini (Leopard) and an old IBM laptop (that I got for free) running ubuntu (jackalope). At first everything was dandy, the computers could connect to each other, and even screen-share. Well, the hard drive in the IBM failed, so I replaced it and reinstalled ubuntu. Now, I can connect to the mac from the ubuntu (and print from it over the network), but my mac now thinks that the ubuntu doesn't exist. I'm not sure if this a problem with the mini or the IBM, but I thought maybe someone here could help. It seems to me like bonjour isn't functioning properly (but really don't know much about these sort of things).

Also, I enabled screen sharing on the ubuntu, so a network icon appears for the computer, but it only has a "share screen" button, no "connect as" option. If I try to screen-share, it just tries for ever, and gets nowhere. If I click "connect to server" from the "go" menu, and type in the ip of the ubuntu, it tells me almost immediately that the server doesn't exist or isn't turned on. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
