Moved my older iMac up to the kids room and it's connected via housewide ethernet.
Got my new iMac in the study - I can log into the old one and drag the iPhoto and Aperture libraries to my new one... the copy starts, but at some point gives an error that it is in use (error code -50 I am recalling).
I get a similar error when trying to copy the libraries from my MacBook Pro to my new iMac (trying to consolidate libraries here).
And - after the aborted copy attempt, there is a grayed out icon for the file that was attempted that I cannot delete without erasing the drive - which is fine - it's on an external with nothing else...but still weird.
Anyway - iPhoto and Aperture are not running on any of the machines... but I'm guessing are doing something in the background to prevent the copy process from completing.
Do I need to start both the old iMac and Macbook Pro up in another mode (single user or other) to avoid the file appearing "busy"?
Thanks!
