What have you tried to see if it was the culprit?
Great! You're welcome!THANKS Gregg! great job. Worked. And I've posted to 2 others great Mac forums first...
Oops! Did I accept congratulations too soon?Actually, the regular deleting of plist DID NOT WORK, BUT deleting all others ones finder.plist below ½ dozen, with more letters - did!)
Yes, I think so.This is just plist corruption over time?
Yes, crazy! It shouldn't go bad again right away. Desktop (iMac, Mini?) still good? How old is the laptop? Same OS on both?AHY...SPOKE too soon. Then tried on laptop did not work. Then hour later, desktop back to not working Dang!
Wait.. now desktop, just minutes later, is ok again. Laptop still bad. Laptop never worked..and did the delete of all finder plist on laptop.. (some intermittent chaos.) Is this known issue? Crazy.
No, just persistent bug/ issue I'm sure. One Apple nice gremlins.Back on Jan. 8th ("suddenly today") did you install a new app?
