Can't copy&paste/drag &drop anything on to hard disk..?

Hi all.

So I've recently just bought a hard disk, but when I plugged it in to my MacBook, it doesn't allow me to copy&paste/drag &drop. It worked fine on my sister's windows though. Anyone know what's wrong..? Help much appreciated.

It's probably not formatted in a format OS X can write to.

Or you could try downloading/installing MacFuse or NTFS-3g (google them) so you can write to NTFS, which is probably what the drive is formatted in already.
