Cant copy to windows 7 HDD

Just took the plunge and wiped my original HDD, Copied everything i need to my OSX HDD (drag and drop from windows xp). Have now created the Windows 7 and activated it but it wont let me drag and drop to it at all!
any ideas (i did look but everything involved downloading more software which i didnt think i had to download before!

How are you running Windows?

What are using to try to drag and drop the files over?

ops sorry yeah didn't include the right information
its bootcamp
trying to copy from OSX to Windows (separate HDD) had it working with my previous partition setup!
and just using FINDER to try and drag and drop

You need to install NTFS-3G to write to the Windows drive using OS X.
