Can't Copy Voice Memos to iPad with iOS 5

Is anyone else having problems copying/syncing voice memos to iPads running iOS 5? They do appear in 'Music' on the iPad in iTunes, but the little 'sync' icon to the left of the file remains after syncing and the files don't actually get transferred across.

A workaround is to change the 'media type' from 'voice memo' to 'music' on the options tab in iTunes. Everything then works as it should, but I want it to work automatically. I take voice memos throughout the day on my iPhone and having them automatically sync to my iPad when I get home was one of the main features I was looking forward to having with iOS 5.

'Include voice memos' is checked in iTunes for the iPad.

Any further news in this?

I discovered exactly the same issue with voice memos not actually appearing on my iPad, even though I have "Include voice memos" checked under Sync Music.

I know it was a while ago this was posted. I was wondering if you ever learned anything more.
