iPod touch Can't customize home screen on 1.1.3

I just restored my iPod to version 1.1.3 and I cannot customize my home screen by holding my finger on an icon. They do not start wiggling for me. How do I do this?

It is ridiculous they're not giving us the webclip and home screen customization without the fee. They're just updates to existing applications.
And I do remember we didn't get charged when we got the "add events" function to our calendar app.

I was unaware that you have to pay to get the home screen customization... and why are we forced to use the iPhone Dock now?

And I like this dock better, the other one was so plain.

well the only two significant changes in the 1.1.3 software update that ive seen are the dock and a slightly different layout of the interface in safari, and having to pay for a few measly applications and some minor system tweaks is just daylight robbery. £12.00??? Whos idea was that?? GIVE US THOSE APPS FOR FREE!!! AND THAT CUSTOMISABLE HOME SCREEN!!! FOR FREE!!!
