iPod touch Can't Delete Mail Messages After Update?

Ever since updating to 2.2 I can't delete mail into the trash.

I have to go to Gmail.com and delete it through there for it to show up on my Touch, but can't delete it itself within Mail.

Help?

Yesterday mail messed up for me. It said i either had the wrong username or password? I had to reset it. It was quite odd.

reset the password, mail or the touch overall?

How so? Did this work?
