So my daughter got my old iPhone 5 and I just got a iPhone 5s (I know the new ones are coming out next month, and have a plan for that), so I had problems restoring from back up due to one of the iCloud email accounts. It wasn't correct for some reason, and wouldn't let me delete it. So I thought, just set up as new I need to clean out some old apps anyways.

So I did as such and no issues. I went on my iPad and iPhone and saw my old iPhone 5 back up, my iPad bad up, and my current iPhones back up. My old iPhone was 2.5 GB and I go to delete it and turn off, and I get "cannot delete back up This backup cannot be deleted because it's in use". Now I never finished the restore from back up and I set up my new phone as new.

So I looked on like and never really found a solution, so I called Apple Care. I talked to them and the lady started to tell me to go to iTunes, preferences, devices and at that point I told her I don't back up to iTunes and this is a iCloud back up issue (and I told her in the beginning). She then said I had to wait 48 hours. I can wait, but anyone else have this issues?

I have an idea too if the "wait 48 hours" doesn't work. My wife has an current iPod Touch that she doesn't use. I was going to back that up, restore it, and then restore from back up that I want to delete. I'll let it finish and I hope I can delete that back up then since it technically did finish a restore.

Any other ideas? Thanks!

EDIT: I was able to delete this after 48 hours like the rep said. I only doubted her because she had me try and delete the back up from iTunes at 1st.
