So my child just graduated high school this year and we were cleaning up her laptop to get ready for college and realized we'd never removed her school student Google account. It's one of the accounts listed in Internet Accounts on MacOS. And it keeps prompting us for a password. Well, when you go to log into it, it says the account is disabled or deleted. And, when I go to Settings > Internet Accounts to delete it, the Delete Account button is greyed out and so are the toggles next to Mail, Contacts, etc.

Clicking on Details doesn't give any further options either.

How can I get rid of this account so it will stop prompting us for a password?

Actually I forgot a tidbit. When you hit Details above, you get this screen:

As you see above it says the settings are configured by a profile. But when I look under "Profiles" there are no profiles installed on the laptop. Help?

Well, I figured it out. We still had Screen Time set up for her and one of the restrictions was that she couldn't make any account changes. Once I turned that off and gave it a minute or two, the Delete Account button was available and I could remove it.

Great that you found it and your info will probably help someone else down the line.
Yeah, I started to delete the thread since no one had replied yet, but then I thought maybe it would turn up on a search for someone in the future and point them in the right direction.
