My 2020 M1 MacBook Pro has an update that it can't download, keeps saying unable to download app try pleas again later. The reason probably is because this is an update for an iPad app. I have no idea why this app update showed up on my MacBook Pro, but now I can't even delete it as there are no options to do so. How can I get rid of this update?

I was able to do this on iPhone via the settings - settings - general - about - and I believe when you scrolled down to the bottom it was there. not sure if it is same on Mac? In saying that - I have been able to see the download in launches when the update misfired and didn't install, and was able to delete it from there
