Can't detect external display Dell 2405 flat panel...solutions?

Hi, I've got the latest leopard, macbook pro.

I can't use my ext monitor anymore via dvi.

I used to be able to do this (mbp -> dell monitor)
I tried a diff ext monitor and it works with the macbook pro.

I hooked up my dell monitor to a windows machine and it works.

I think it is a problem with the leopard. Any fixes? I wish that I could just reinstall the video driver alone.

you might want to try this..

Select restart. Close your lid on your MacBookPro. Let it reboot with the lid closed. It opens into and remembers my NEC MultiSync 90X and all its resolution settings.
