In the Display Control Window I have UNCHECKED "Automatically Adjust Brightness" and yet everytime I put the MacBook to sleep and re-awaken it the screen has been automatically dimmed to ONE HALF normal brightness. I also have TrueTone UNCHECKED and Night Shift turned off, but that still doesn't stop the MacBook from automatically dimmed to ONE HALF normal brightness.

Hmm, I was just about to post a similar problem with my 16" Pro (OS 12.2.1), it resets its brightness too, but sometimes one or two clicks down, sometimes one or two clicks up (and not in response to ambient light, as I notice it immediately). I rebooted it a couple days ago, still does it. My "Automatically Adjust Brightness" was checked; I've unchecked it and will see what happens today.
