So my delivery date for my iPhone is October 10-14th so I went in the apple app this morning and saw my apple store had the same model in stock so I was going to place a new order for in store pick up, However when going through the options I choose to trade in my XS Max and choose the phone and the select Tmobile and the payments options are Pay in full or iPhone Payments the iUP option is not available, However if I choose No for the device trade in, the iUP payment option pops up. I have tried both through the app and website and under my Apple ID and my wifes and still showed this option. I know my order I have right now has the trade in option it just looks like apple disabled the trade in and iUP for new orders or am I missing something?

You can trade in at pick up when you pick up the device. The only thing is that you can’t trade in and use that to lower cost of iPhone on upgrade program. That’s why they restrict as an option. Which is better since if you apply towards the device you are immediately paying off 50% which doesn’t make sense if you plan to swap for new one in 12 months.

trade in value will either be applied to a gift card or towards any credit card you give them.

Thanks for the explanation, One thing im confused about is when I pre ordered last Thursday it did allow me to choose to trade in my XS Max (Not on iUP) and then pre order the 11 Pro Max on the iUP program, so it will take my monthly payments from $60 down to about $39 a month. Am I confusing something?

That was iPhone Payments and not the Upgrade Program.

Just curious, what are iphone payments? Is there any interest involved? Is that like financing through barclays? I've used IUP in the past as a postpaid member but as an AT&T prepaid member now i can no longer utilize IUP unfortunately. Sad because it works great. I'm not familiar with iphone payments, how does this work?

iPhone Payments is similar to IUP, I’ve joined it here in the UK for my iPhone 11 Pro. It’s 0% interest, and you keep the phone for two years. At the end of the two years you get to keep the phone and do with it as you please.

I’m paying £36.99 as part of the plan, and £12 which I already paid to Giffgaff for my calls, texts and data. £48 for the premium iPhone isn’t too shabby 😎

Thank you so much Bethanie! I really appreciate the help. Do you know if you're able to pay it off early if you so choose?
