Can't downgrade to iOS 7.1.2 on latest DP and iTunes 12

I have an 13" rMBP that is running OS X Yosemite, and I tried to downgrade my iPhone 5S to iOS 7.1.2, but after downloading the file I attempted to perform the Option button method(Press Option button while clicking Restore iPhone) and iTunes refused to recognize the software. In fact, when I attempted to just restore the iPhone's software, it said that the resource wasn't available. Any suggestions?
