iPod touch Can't download apps from app store

I can access the app store on my iPod touh and when I try to download it it will appear in the home window but the bar at the bottom will not move and it will say waiting but it will never load I have left it for a few days and I am very frustrated please help

Try doing a hard reset by holding down the sleep/wake and home button together until the screen blacks out, then pressing the sleep/wake button until the apple sign comes up. After it turns back on check if the app has started downloading. If that doesn't work, try plugging the touch into the computer and see if it will start downloading on the computer. Hope this helps
