Fairly new Mac user here. I uninstalled Flash (read somewhere it would possibly fix my Safari freezing problem - stupid I know). Now I can't get Flash back. I go to the Adobe site and try to download. My download window opens, it says it's loading "install_flash_player_osx_dmg". Says the file is 14.1mb and takes about 4-5 seconds for the blue bar to scroll all the way across. But afterwards the file is not in my Downloads folder or anywhere else on my computer. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Have you tried searching in Finder for that file name? Also try going to Safari > Window > Downloads and see if it shows the download complete. If so, you should be able to get to the file from there.

Look in your Downloads folder. Open a Finder window > your Home folder > Downloads. Unless you opted to save the downloads in another place from Safari menu > Preferences > General tab > Save download file to: Other.
