Can't download windows support software due to network error, tried everything to fix

rMBP 15 inch late 2013.....

So I got my windows 8.1 64 bit ISO and my key ready to go...

Can't even make my partition because I get an instant "Can't download windows support software due to network error"

I've unchecked the proxy crap, tried ethernet and wifi but it refuses to connect. I've even tried getting the software from apple's site and putting it in the proper folder but nothing works.

I CANNOT just install the drivers after I make partition because it refuses to install windows to my flash drive without getting the drivers IT CAN'T GET.

EDIT: All the windows stuff seems to have copied so maybe I can make my partition and install windows with no drivers? Might be a bad idea...

Any insight or help would be much appreciated.

Got it work by getting the support files off the apple site, unzipping them and putting ONLY the contents on the flash drive along with all the Windows stuff.


What a mess....but now I have Windows....
