Cant Drag from Desktop to iTunes Playlist

So I know this problem has been posted before, but I haven’t found a solid answer. When I drag music from a folder to iTunes, the green plus shows up but iTunes doesn’t do anything. It doesn’t import or even play the songs (when I double click them). I have write access to Music and Music/iTunes.

Whats wrong? It was working fine 24 hours ago.

Try trashing your com.apple.iTunes.plist file from this folder:

Macintosh HD/Users/~yourusername~/Library/Preferences

Then relaunch iTunes


Also, have you tried logging out and back in? Rebooting?

Went through setup and both drag and drop + Command O still not working. And yes, I have restarted.

EDIT: I think the songs I have are corrupt. Ill retry adding them later since I have something to do. If that doesnt work, ill be back!
