Can't email from iphoto after got new hard drive

my imac hard drive crashed and i got a new drive and restored.
i tried to email a photo from iphoto and got the message:

the email server didn't recognize your username/password combination

what does this mean? what shld i do?

Is your email and password set up and stored in Mail, if thats the program you use?
