Hi all
I am trying to install boot camp on my macbook pro when i try to run bootcamp assistant i get error the startup disc cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition "The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows..
when i open disc utility i seem to have 2 drives one is :640.1 GB samsung H... and the other just says MAC
I cannot erase the drive 640 .1 GB samsung
i have snow leopard disc and have no files ofor programmes on the mac i need to keep
I tried booting from disc and reinstalled osx to mac but still cannot erase the other drive
Can anyone help ?
Ps im new to mac (2 days only )

Ps im new to mac (2 days only )

boot from windows install DVD , use the repair and recovery part to get to the command prompt and then use diskpart. Worst case scenario you'll have to wipe the whole HDD with the "clean" command. (Read up on the different switches for the diskpart command)
