So whats up with this wako os x? every time i want to cancel emptying the trash or when i'm moving a file to another drive and want to cancel i can't do it, i click cancel and nothing happens, the thing just freezes...

That's just buggy ol' Finder for you. Hopefully it'll get fixed in Leopard, but we've been complaining about it for a while. 
If Finder's doing too many things at once or is connected to a mounted drive (network or external) then it's quite easy to get it to stall like this, making it difficult to cancel processes.
