When downgrading to firmwares, plus jail breaking, i always get stuck with a tethered ipod 4g.
is there someway to untether, or boot untethered instead of tethered?

Im using 4.3.3 firmware when i downgrade

im aware of that, but right when the downgrade completes it gets stuck in dfu mode till i boot it, is there some way to boot it once without tethering it?

Try making a NO_BB IPSW with redsn0w and restore to that, you are probably stuck in DFU because of a BB mis-match

You can also use pwnage or sn0wbreeze for that
