Can't find BOUGHT ringtone post-sync oniPhone 3GS

I bought a ringtone from iTunes recently, using my iPhone 3GS. It showed up on the phone when I bought it and worked when tried out.

Then I synced my phone with my PC and now it shows up on iTunes on my PC, and also in the the Ringtone folder of my iPhone on the PC - but is nowhere to be found on the phone itself !

I've tried syncing it again and again, checking and unchecking the "Sync all ringtones" and sync "selected ringtones".

HELP please!
