cant find FIREWIRE drive in WIN XP

i am trying to us e a LaCie 25gb d2 firewire hard driver in win XP on a macbook but it doesnt show up. i installed all the software from the LaCie website, and the drive actually shows up in the Device Manager, but not in My Computer. i have tried everything. in Mac OSX it works fine but not in windows? please anyone help me?

Check the File Structure. If it is formatted as HFS or HFS+ Windows cant read it. It needs to be FAT32 to share between both operating systems. Either that or download a program called Mac drive which lets Windows read HFS.
