This is driving me crazy. I am so pissed off at apple for dropping the ball on this. When u introduce a new connector for the hottest device on the planet, you better make damn sure u produce enough cables & adapters. There is no reason for it.

You can also order from Apple.com and get them within 2 days. (regardless of the shipping estimate..mine said mid-october, and I got them last Tuesday).

And I bought 4 at my local Apple Store last Sunday. They had tons.

I've tried my local apple store twice, and best buy 3 times. And nothing. Yeah, they get them in on a reg basis. But they're gone as fast as they get there.

Try to order on Apple.com but choose local store pickup. From there you can see the inventory status of your local Apple stores. I just bought one on Saturday at Apple Store Arrowhead in Glendale, AZ.

Yup. I ordered extra that was originally slated to deliver between 10/17 and 10/24. It's on the truck for delivery right now.

I did try a local VZW store. And as of Saturday they hadn't received a single cable since launch. Same with best buy. Guy told me they ordered 500 cables, and 500 adapters and not a single one of either had come in. Appl was the only place they said they come in on a reg basis.

I walked into a local Apple Store on a busy Friday night and they had loads of them. (We're talking over 100 easily.)

Grabbed one and was out in less than 2 minutes!
