can't find iPhone to MacBooks airdrop?

Hi!

Im new to the macbook world.
I have a iphone 5, and i can't use airdrop with the macbook.
The iPhone and mac is on the same wifi, but they will not connect.
When i try iPhone to another iPhone, then it connects, but it will not connect to my macbook.

Any ideas how i could use airdrop between the mac and iPhone?
Be happy for replays

I'm guessing it will be enabled at some point for smaller file sizes. Give it 6 months.

You do realize that there's about a million OS X filetypes that the iPhone can do absolutely nothing with?

Airdrop between Mac OS and iOS is far from mature, much less practical, to say nothing of its marketability.
