I have the Retina MBP and bought a thunderbolt to ethernet adapter today and am trying to use it, but to connect to my university's network we have to register the MAC address with our student account... Problem is, I can't find the MAC address for anything other than the wireless adapter.

Look under ethernet in about this mac >more info>system report.

It will say something like mDNS offload capable : listed mac address.

I colored out my MAC address .

You can also go to 'System Preferences' select Network > Highlight ethernet or TB Ethernet > Click Advanced button and you'll also see your mac address there too...
