Can't find my Mail file in timecapture

I wiped my MAC and have kept my time capture backups until I know I have gotten everything that I needed off. I was going through timecapture looking for the files to restore my Mail data but cannot find it. I looked where it was supposed to be under Library but the Mail directory is nowhere to be found. Any thoughts?

In your Time Machine backup, are you sure you're looking in the user's Library and not in Macintosh HD/Library/ ?
/Macintosh HD/Users/--- your user name ---/Library/
