Can't Find Network Settings?

So I was setting up a dataplan for a friend and we ran into a little snag.

I can't seem to find the area where I'm supposed to input network settings? I was sure it was under settings - general - network, but this screenshot is all I see..

What gives?

3GS running iOS5.01 baseband 5.16.05

Not all carriers show the apn settings

So it's carrier based? But I have an iPhone 4 and the same carrier and I can access my APN settings.

I figured it out! Turns out this is a 3GS thing.

For future reference to others who may have this problem:

Download the iPhone Configuration Utility http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1465 (OSX)

Force the APN settings with the iPhone connected to your computer.
