Just got a 24" imac, and I was trying to copy my pictures from iPhoto '06 on my macbook to the iPhoto '08 on the imac. I did migration assistant where I can either choose application and file transfers OR I can choose a library transfer. I chose the first two thinking I could do the third later...but when I tried to do just the library transfer, it wanted me to change the user name.

So my question is...are my pictures hidden somewhere on the imac? They are not in iPhoto, that is for sure. How do I get them there? I was able to drag and drop the iPhoto '06 icon to my imac, but I am not sure the best way to get the pictures in correctly (preferably with the categories).

Thanks!

The iPhoto library is located in your users Picture folder (in the folder named iPhoto Library) by default. If you didn't transfer that you don't have the pictures on your computer.
