I was searching for terminal in spotlight and it cant be found?Is there any other way to open up terminal if its not in my dock?
 
you should also be able to find it by running a spotlight search for "terminal".

Edit: OK I didn't read the OP properly. Did you find it anyway?
 
yeah having no utilities folder wouldn't be a good thing. Has it really vanished? You might want to confirm this... :eek:
 
Then you deleted your utilities folder. You're screwed. That's a crazy important folder.

damnit.i searched utilities and got nothing,is there any way to download it?or could one of you upload it to a site for me so i could get it?thanks
 
yeah ive got too much stuff to restore,cant someone just upload there folder to a site and let me download it or something?
 
Oh I see. I have never had the need to do that. How is that achieved?

It's fairly easy to A&I. I just did it for the first time a few weeks ago and everything went well. MAKE SURE the box is checked that is mentioned in this thread:

This is the box I'm talking about. It comes up when you choose to A&I. It's the option to "preserve users and network settings".

You can use Pacifist and extract Terminal from your OS install discs. You may not even need that though, pop in your discs and see if you can find it on your own.
