Can't find the VLC application screen in the recording time

;) Hi


I'm trying to record a video from a web with VLC on my Mac on High Sierra

I copy the URL of the web video

In the 1st menu I select "network".

I paste the URL in the network window in the appropriate empty field

I click at the bottom on the "play" button

And there should appear the VLC screen with the image of the video so that I can press the "save" button at the bottom of the screen but it is not the case...the VLC screen does not appear...

However I checked "output stream" in the network window

Is there another setting to do?
