I have an iPhone 4 running 4.2.8, i jailbroke it awhile ago. I really want to update it to iOS 6, but i cant update or restore because I keep getting error 3194, probably because I still have the jailbroken software on my phone (I deleted Cydia, but I've read that the SHSH caches or something are still signaling that it's jailbroken). I just want to restore my phone and get the jailbroken-ness gone, but I can't figure out how to fix the error. I've already modified my host file in system32 but it still doesn't work. Help!

Do a factory Reset

Try doing a Factory Reset (General > Reset > Erase all) and then upgrading. It might work.
