Hello, I'm hoping for some guidance here.

My understanding is that the M1 Air can simultaneously support native resolution on the built-in screen, while powering an external monitor up to 6K60hz.

However, when I connect my 4K TV through a USB-C to HDMI cable rated 4K60hz, I have trouble getting Disney+ and Prime Video to display 4K. It seems like I can force YouTube to work by picking the resolution, but the other services don't have that option.

Internet speeds are plenty fast with fiber.

Any tips would be appreciated.

I can't find anything definitive for Disney+ but Prime Video only does up to HD on browsers according to their support page: Prime Video System Requirements. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney+ is the same. If you want to test your setup, use AppleTV. It works fine with 4K video.
